What should I wear to Sunday services?
Dress in whatever is most comfortable to you. While some will be in coat-and-tie or dresses, others will be dressed more casually. We believe that God-pleasing worship places the emphasis on what's in a person's heart rather than a person's appearance.
When are Siler's Sunday services and how would you describe them?
We have two identical Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. These services are primarily traditional (singing hymns), but we do occasionally mix in some more contemporary music with our praise band.
Where do I park?
We have several parking lots to choose from. Our largest lot is paved and in the rear of the church. You get there by either of the two entrances off Waxhaw-Indian Trail Rd. You can park anywhere you see a spot. There are even a few spots specifically marked for visitors alongside the road/next to the sanctuary. Our other two lots are gravel and located in front of the church by Hwy 84. There is an upper and lower lot.
Where do I go after I park?
See our campus map for specific location of our buildings. The worship services are held in our sanctuary, building 1 (at the corner of Hwy 84 and Waxhaw-Indian Trail Rd). You can enter the building through the two sets of front doors (along Hwy 84) or the entrance in the back. Our Sunday school classrooms are held in Building 2, Building 3 (Dodd), and Building 4 (Fellowship Hall). All children and youth classrooms are in Building 3.
Is Siler handicap accessible?
We are except for the second floor of Building 3 (Dodd). This is where our youth and children's Sunday school classes meet.
How can I learn more about the church and start connecting with others in the church?
We have "Connect" cards in the pews in the sanctuary. Fill those out and someone will contact you to help answer any questions you have about the church or to get you connected; or a connections team member is available after each service (in the hallway outside the sanctuary). Also, we have a Newcomer’s Coffee every other month where you can learn about Siler, meet others, and hear about our classes and volunteer opportunities.
Which classes do you offer?
We have Sunday school class every Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45am. The classes are primarily topic or book-focused and all ages are welcome in any class. However, many of our senior adults attend the Jessie Plyler Class. We also have ladies’ studies that meet on certain weekday mornings and a study for all on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, that is led by Pastor Bruce.
